Creating beautiful designs, drawings, & images using the computer

Welcome to CJ's classes online. I teach illustration, rendering, and computer-aided design classes at a local community college, and this website is dedicated to preserving the ideas, techniques, and spirit of the lessons that I teach in person. This website was created in response to requests from students to have instructions, and demonstrations through video links posted online. Over and over students have expressed their regret when the semester terminates and there is no longer access to the technical instructions used in creating presentation drawings using design-indsutry software, such as: AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and SketchUp.

Although less often, there have also been requests for more creative and instructional lessons than we cover during the course of the semester. There is a limited amount of time during the semester to cover a lot of content. I challenge students to complete more than one project per week, and yet, there is still not enough time to explore everything that interests us. There is certainly not enough time to master any of the skills introduced in the course. Thus, this website serves as a place to visit when you want to remember how to start a particular type of project, or continue to learn new things after the semester ends.

Thank you to all of the students that urged me to put this website together. I appreciate your validation to my skills as a technical instructor. I also greatly appreciate your interest. It is so much fun to collaborate with people who share common interests. If you have an interest in design--particularly interior design-creative software, illustration, hand rendering, and digital presentation techniques, then this is a place for you to visit occasionally.

Thank you!
